I think this is a very nice write up of this performer, and the amazing
stuff refers to his performance, not his blindness, insofar as I can
discern.  He wowed them with the songs he sang, most specifically, his
tribute to J-Lo and her portrayal of Selina in the movie.  

Should be interesting to see how he does.  

It would be interesting some day to get the story from Scott MacKintyre
about how his blindness was handled when he was a contestant... I suspect
there is a period of time in which he is under a non-disclosure agreement
about the backstage goings-on and contestant handling procedures.

Hi All, 

 

I've attached the article about the American Idol contestant who happens to
be blind. In all fairness to the media they had a lot of positive things to
say about this talented individual. I am still troubled about the "amazing"
and "one super artist". Even the news reporter's remarks conveyed the tone;
can you believe this blind man can actually sing? I am not a huge fan of
country music but, I really liked the man's cowboy hat.
