[Nfbc-info] Thanksgiving

As I was washing dishes this afternoon and getting ready for a big feast
tomorrow, I began to think about all of the things for which I am grateful.
I thought I might share some of them with my fellow Federationists.

I am grateful to be alive at a time when I am priviledged to be sitting at a
computer in my living room in my own home with the dog curled up in front of
the fireplace and music playing in the background. There are many people
today who cannot say that.

I am grateful to have a family that loves each other.

I am grateful for my friends who have surrounded me with love throughout
this past year. They just knew.

I am grateful to be affiliated with people who know what commitment and love
can do to change the world.

Lastly, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve.

I hope all of you have a warm, peaceful Thanksgiving holiday.

Yours in the movement,

Mary Willows

The National Federation of the blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams.

You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
