Hello,
My name is Jordan Mirander, and I have optic nerve hypoplasia, and I agree with a lot of my fellow listers posts. The mother of this child must do all she can to get to the national federation of the blind of California’s convention from October 25 to October 28 at the lax airport Marriott hotel. Because there, she will be able to create connections to other blind people who have optic nerve hypoplasia like myself. I have optic nerve hypoplasia, and I will definitely be at th convention, and I would love to see you there, however, if you’re not going to be there, I do not know how we can connect. I feel like I would be a great person for your child to get plugged into, because although, I have optic nerve hypoplasia I do not let that stop me from performing my daily life and going about my daily tasks. I am a highly functional individual. I have no fear of Travel, and in my daily life, I transfer buses and I take the metrolink sometimes. I do not think I would be a good advocate for him in school, as I know absolutely nothing about TVI’s, and iep’s however I feel i would be a great supbport person for him to come alongside him and support him and be there for him in all of his endeavors.
