[NFBC-Info] NFBC-Info Digest, Vol 209, Issue 3

I totally agree with Tina Tomas. The masks I understand. As, I have seen places mandate those. Not now, as, places seem to have relaxed their Covid19 policies. However, in 2021, I was researching covid19 policies at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, california. It stated, “all patrons must wear a mask.“ “Those who test positive for covid19 must wear a mask throughout the entirety of the football game.” That was in 2021 during the pandemic. At the time that we do packet pickups I am not able to get a ride home, and besides I definitely want to hear Mark Riccobono speak, and talk to Mark Riccobono too. It is very different when you are working the convention to when you are just a participant attending the convention. In 2017 was my first national convention, and I worked as a Spanish interpreter. This year will be my first year that I am not working during Mark Riccobono’s speech. I definitely really want to hear him speak. I have never gotten to hear him speak in person before while I am in the audience.

What are covid19 boosters and vaccinations good for? I have been doubble boosted. I strongly feel that nobody must be excluded from attending in person. I also strongly feel that you must divide the seating arrangements up into these sections: vaccinated and masked: crypto.com arena required this at one point in time. Masked and negative test done in 24 hours. Masked and must stay masked during the whole duration of the convention because they have tested positive. Now, I understand that you want to keep blind people also want to participate. Can blind people do the same thing except for vote virtually? My point is that if one of us takes an on-site covid19 test and it is positive what will I do? Sit down there curl up in a corner and ball, because I absolutely would not have a ride commming. My point is those who are masked and who are up to date on their covid19 vaccinations must not be forced to go through the fires of hell. (Covid19 test. Also, if these big huge stadiums like the crypto.com have implemented this guideline. What gives us the authority to say it is not enough? They host a game every day. > First, there is no retribution to respectfully asking questions in our organization. I appreciate your concerns. The Covid policies are indeed lawful. We can take individual accommodation requests as needed using the registration form. It is my hope that the masking and testing policy is truly unnecessary and overly cautious. We want everyone to feel as safe as possible for this first convention back in person. Personally, I am not very worried about Covid given current conditions. That said, I also don't mind a little bit of inconvenience if it makes others feel safe and lowers the potential risk for spreading illness. My impression is that the board supports the current approach.
