[nfbcs] Network info inconsistency

I've had this problem before as well, and usually it has had to do with the
hardware.  Either the router has been disconnected from the modem, or the
router itself needs to be reset.  I know this is of little help, but that's
the only time I've seen the computer report a signal when there actually
isn't one.  A basic question, but did you try repairing your connection?

I tried that, twice.  No joy.
What I don't get is why one part says I'm connected, when I'm not.
