Agreed, Mike. If I were a speech-only user, just having an IPad or an
IPhone would be enough for me. However, I have a Braille display at home
and work. I have two Braille notetakers, one for home and one for work. If
I break down and buy an Apple product, I would want to use a Braille
display with it, which would make it less portable. I don't like the idea
of carrying two devices instead of one. I remember the Dos days when I
just started learning to use the computer. There were two devices called
the David and Notex486 which were PCS with a Braille display integrated
into them. I owned a David, and used the heck out of it. The problem was
that it was not that portable. Notetakers are great, but they don't have
the power of a PC. Oh well. We can't have everything, can't we?
