[nfbcs] NVDA Problem

Those that use NVDA...I downloaded it to my son's laptop, and it cuts in and out. I know it isn't the speakers because everything else he does that doesn't require the use of NVDA works just fine, and it doesn't cut in and out. It even does the same thing using headphones, and again, nothing else does this. Could this be an installation issue?
