[nfbcs] Exporting Favorites

Does anyone know how to export favorites from Firefox to Windows? There is a
help article on it, but, as is is typical of such articles, it tells you to
click on such and such icon. Alternatively, is there a way to just have
Firefox save the favorites in the favorites? I am using Firefox as my main
browser, but I want to continue to use the favorites menu on the start menu.
