Definitely agree with Jeffrey. Also make sure you can get accessible materials for studying eventual Math-related courses.

While I *strongly* agree with the suggestion of getting a Braille display (at least 40 cells, preferably 80), I disagree with the suggestion of printing API references in Braille: you would end up with thousands and thousands of pages collecting dust and having to be printed again and again as that API changes. Take confidence with your IDE of choice: nowadays you’ll be able to take advantage of its features for using the APIs you’re interested in efficiently. But that’s definitely a matter of personal tastes.

Also make sure you have a powerful enough machine 
and remember: RAM and disk storage are never enough!
