[nfbcs] Thinking about ordering a Raspberry pi but have a few questions

I am thinking about ordering a Raspberry Pi, but I have a few questions:
How easy is it for a blind person to connect a power supply to it and put it into a case?  What tools would I need to do this?
I have used Linux in the past.  How easy is it to get speech up and running?  Would I be able to use Orca with the GUI or would I be using Speakup or another console screen reader?
