[nfbcs] Where to start in computer science:

I'd say LaTeX is more of a markup language then a type setting language. 
You markup the structure of the document and let LaTeX handle the 
formatting for you. TeX is lower level and gets more into the 
typesetting nitty gritty. I mostly learned LaTeX by Googling and looking 
for samples. If you Google LaTeX tutorials you'll find a bunch of 
options.I'm not sure which is particularly good or how accessible each 
of them are.
