Hello:
The last time I worked on a Linux system, I used a BrailleNote in
terminal mode.
For Linux, there is a program called Brltty. It allows Linux and possibly
Unix systems to directly work with braille displays.
I would suggest looking into putty, a program that runs on a PC. You should
be able to get access and the PC's access software will read for you. You
may/will need to do some experimenting.
