Hi,

The contact at the company said he is working on getting jaws
approved/installed but it's not done yet.
I assume it will be the latest version.
I am also in the process of getting the jaws remote upgrade.
Thank you,
Bryan Schulz

Hi Bryan, the version of jaws installed on the server has to match the
version of jaws installed on the client computer from which you connect to
it.
The version of jaws you have installed on your desktop or laptop, the
client, has to be professional/authorized for remote access.
To be honest I am more familiar with setting this up for rdp vs setting it
up to connect to a vm as I set this up at work so I can rdp to my desktop in
my office via vpn during the covid-19 pandemic however if I can help please
feel free to reach out.
Have fun - Ed

Hi,

I'm just getting started and the IT guy hasn't installed jaws on the company
server.
What version needs to be installed and where?

After you connect, You might try to run jaws on the virtual desktop by
entering Windows-R > jaws2020 > Enter. This will confirm you have jaws
configured correctly on the server.

When I used Microsoft Remote Desktop, there was a virtual desktop setting
that allowed you to automatically start an application on the virtual
desktop when you connected. If this is not available, you can always put
jaws in the Windows start folder on you virtual desktop. This should only
apply to your desktop and would not affect other users on the server. .

Hi,

Anyone know if jaws is installed on the remote pc, will that make jaws talk
on my end?

I am logging into vm ware and jaws does not speak the virtual desktop.

Thanks,

Bryan
