[NFBCS] Important JAWS Tandem Information for JAWS 2022 Users

Not sure if you are addressing the question of how many JAWS versions Vispero should support, or the question
of whether the current inability for JAWS 2022 to Tandem with 2021 is acceptable. I'll tackle the former:

There will always be installations that must use older software, including JAWS versions, for this or that
reason. Reasons I've seen myself include
* Secure installations where vetting a new release is very expensive and time-consuming.
* Central servers that rarely update or restart because of the impact this has on day-to-day operations.
* Companies that simply don't upgrade software often and whose policies are not influenced by JAWS users.

I do hope Vispero finds a way to permit Tandem to older JAWS versions to continue for the foreseeable future,
even if they require the host to run an older JAWS version as well.

As an aside, the wildest sense of "old" for me was a client that, up until roughly 2.5 years ago, required me
to support JAWS 12.0! As it happened, RDP rather than Tandem was required for that one though.

Hi,

If you claim to be a rehabilitation engineer, this shouldn't matter and you
should be prepared to provide support for the most current and previous one
or two versions of jaws!

Importance: High

Greetings and salutations:

If you are a JAWS 2022 user and wish to connect via JAWS Tandem with a user
who is running an older version of JAWS, please be advised that as of right
now, this connection will not be possible. You will need to switch to an
older version of JAWS in order to achieve a Tandem connection.

I am told by the folks at Vispero that, "We are working on getting the auto
update of 2021 and a new version of 2020 posted within the next few days."

With kind regards,

Curtis Chong
