Eric and Tracy,

I have experienced cases where the actual CAPTCHA dialog was outside of the page I was on and I could not get to it until I clicked on it with the mouse.  Tracy, I would try using control-TAB to be sure it isn't in a separate window.  Also, go through the page with the JAWS Touch Cursor to see if you can land on it that way.  If you find it with the Touch Cursor and press ENTER, you should then be able to turn the Touch Cursor off.  Finally, I have noticed that at least with Microsoft Edge, some things do not display right if the window is too small.  Try maximizing your window to see if that makes a difference.  You probably know this, but sometimes you only need to check the "I'm not a robot" check box and you don't need to solve a CAPTCHA.  That depends upon the browser you are using and probably other things as well.

Of course, if nothing works, it is worth trying a different browser or even a different screen reader as these kinds of things are sometimes handled differently.  Still, I think it is worth experimenting with the screen reader and the browser that you usually use to find a solution.  Good luck.

My guess is that there was just a temporary  error, and the CAPTCHA just didn't load for you. Unless you tried reloading the page?
