[NFBCS] Question: using a bootable USB drive

Hello:

 

     Wanting to try a Linux distribution, I downloaded Accessible Coconut
and the Etcher software. 

Using a 32GB usb stick, I flashed the .iso file. Etcher reported that the
flash work correctly.

I then placed the USB drive into a Windows 8 box I have and turned on the
PC. The PC started up and instead of booting into Linux, started JAWS. What
step did I miss? Thank you.
