This used to be something a blind person could do independently unless you needed to change some BIOS settings on your PC.
1. Once you booted from your install media, you could start Orca and the installer.
2. You could partition your hard drive with gparted as part of the installation.
3. You could finish the rest of the install.
4. After the next reboot, you'd need to know when grub comes up and what to do to select your Linux boot partition. Note that you're not running an OS at this time, so you have no screen reader. You can configure grub to beep and then you could arrow down a fixed number of times to get to the Linux partition and hit enter.
5. Ubuntu should come up talking at this point with Orca.

Note that it's been a while since I've done this, so things may have changed. There's also the option of running Linux in a virtual machine, which is a bit more accessible since you won't need to go into BIOS, use grub or partition your hard drive.

Subject: [NFBCS] looking for some minor advice on and one to installation?

good Afternoon, in my  spare time, working on how to   installing Ubuntu on one of the two machines that I have is a dual-boot configuration. The question in my mind, is can I do this independently? Am I going to have to find someone excited to sit with me while I do this?

I am thinking it's going to be browsed to installers on the PC. I do have a MacBook Pro, but from the reading I've done, it seems that it is going to be a bit more difficult to do on the MacBook. The dispatch anyone else was dumbness experience?

Just be aware, but I'm dictating this to the computer. So here's hoping that all turned out okay and everyone can read and understand what I'm writing?

Sincerely Maurice Mines.
