[NFBCS] JAWS and Braille display question

I'm reading math with my 40-cell display, so it is important that I
can use all the cells to display what I am actually reading.
Unfortunately, JAWS wastes the first five characters by displaying
what appears to be a line number. I've tried turning off structured
mode, setting the Braille display output to speech, and unchecking
every option that might be causing these unwanted line numbers, but
they just won't go away. Can someone tell me which option to uncheck?
