Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you can use the native Excel functions to set row and column titles and JAWS will read them automatically. The instructions at the Freedom Scientific training site is at Column and Row Headers in Excel with JAWS and MAGic (freedomscientific.com)<https://doccenter.freedomscientific.com/doccenter/doccenter/rs25c51746a0cc/2013-09-25_ExcelAndWordHeaders/02_HeadersInExcel.htm>

Subject: [NFBCS] Someone Please Tell Me How to Get JAWS to Always Read the Row/Column Headers in Word/Excel without Having to Change the Settings

In Microsoft Excel/Word, I almost always have JAWS announce the column/row headings. However, this requires opening the Quick Settings to change the read title setting for every table/worksheet. In Excel, this is even more annoying because I have to do it again if I rename a sheet. Is there some way to tell JAWS to just read the silly headers rather than having to change the setting over and over again?
