Goodman, I've had this happened recently with the upgrade to Mac OS
Ventura. The solution appears to be it you must do the go to desktop
command. Command and shift D. This will get you to the desktop. Another
way to remind yourself of this keystroke is if you if you're on a
MacBook all down the bottom floor left three keys and gently tile the
number two key that to the list of the running applications. Finder
should be one of them. And under finder you will find the command I just
mentioned or you will find go to finder just below it. Of course you
want to pick go to  the desktop.

Helps?

Sincerely Maurice a

Minnes.

PS, just remember that the above text is being dictated to the computer.
Because of a additional disability. So hopefully should go without
saying that if you don't understand something reach out to me and asked
me what did I really mean. Just in case the software likes something
that I didn't catch.

After deleting several files on the Desktop, I did not notice this immediately, but after closing applications like normal I experience “Finder has no Windows”. Same error of “Finder has no Windows” if I command+tab switch to Finder from any application.

Furthermore when in Finder Control+Option+M for menus responds with the limit reached error sound (the piano key sound). Hitting M again in that shortcut should give me the extras like battery, wi-fi, etc but only Siri is in that section. Thus I can’t even get to the Apple menu without first opening any application.
