[NFBCS] Jaws and Outlook

I use the Office 365 product, but there are times, when, for whatever
reason, Office has put me in the Office-on-line product. Tracy, make sure
that isn't happening.

Hello Tracy:

Now I am confused. Sorry.

You said you are not and do not want to be subscribed to the Microsoft 365
product. You said that it has never worked since you installed Outlook
except under circumstances that you cannot replicate.

If you are actually using Outlook 2019, my understanding here is that you
have never been able to move through your list of messages (say, in the
inbox) and have each message summary read as you move up or down with the
appropriate arrow key. This is indeed a problem that needs to be looked at
by the fine folks at Vispero who, I suspect, will kind of encourage you to
get the subscription product. You should not have to do this, although I
will say, full disclosure, that I am using the subscription product and it
works quite nicely for me.

If I were in your position, I would try a couple of things, time permitting
of course.

First, I would run a JAWS repair or perform a complete re-installation.

If that doesn't fix the problem, I would then try a complete re-install of
the Office product that you have, again time permitting of course.

I know that your time is at a premium, but there are times when contacting
the right technical support person at Vispero can fix a specific problem;
yes, I have had success with Vispero technical support. This would be my
first attempt at fixing this problem if I was in your position.

Sorry that I can't suggest much else here.

Kind regards,

Curtis Chong

Hi Curtis.

No, I'm not subscribed to MS365, nor do I want to be, really.

It's never worked since I installed Outlook, except in certain circumstances
which I can't replicate and don't understand. I've had a Jaws update since,
but nothing changed.

It is annoying, because I have to manually read each thing as I arrow
through, which takes a lot more time and repetitive keystrokes.

Tracy

Hello Tracy:

When, exactly, did this problem start? Was it after an Office update or a
JAWS update?

When you say you are running Outlook 2019, I assume you are not on the
Microsoft 365 subscription. Is this accurate?

I feel your pain. Not being able to hear a message summary while arrowing up
or down through the list of messages is frustrating.

Kind regards,

Curtis Chong

Jaws does not automatically read message titles when I arrow through my
Outlook inbox most of the time. I am running the latest Jaws and Outlook
2019.

I have tried maximizing the window, but that doesn't help.

The only times it does read when I arrow is after I've had a Teamviewer
session open to have AIRA help me with some web page.

However, I tried starting Teamviewer today, without anyone connecting to it,
and that didn't have the same effect.

I looked in Startup, and I only see programs I expect there.

Anyone have any ideas? I can call FS, but I don't know if they'll have a
solution.

Tracy
