Hello Brian:

I think this is a choice being forced upon Tracy because her email provider
is not helping her to figure out what is going wrong with her Outlook
connection. I have been trying (without success) to find the "official"
parameters to connect Outlook to her email provider, access.net. Things like
using port 993 for an IMAP connection with SSL enabled and possibly port 587
with *TLS for the SMTP connection.

Cordially,

Curtis Chong

hello Tracy. You really really really don't want to run your e-mail
without SSL turned
on! Your username and password are transmitted in clear text over the
Internet when you do
that and you run a very very high risk of getting hacked!
Figure out another solution, but don't turn off SSL!
