[NFBCS] Does Alt Space in Windows No Longer Work If Copilot is Active?

Greetings:

 

I am wondering if anyone on this list has experienced a problem where the
Alt Space keyboard command does not bring up the Windows System menu when
Copilot is active on your system. See the below article.

Alt-Spacebar launches CoPilot. I don't want that. I want to open the system
menu of the current focus app.

I am used to opening the system menu of the current app (having the focus)
by pressing Alt-Spacebar. In one of the recent Windows Update Cycles, this
changed. Now Alt-Spacebar launches CoPilot. (I don't need a hotkey to launch
CoPilot.)

I have tried to fix this with AutoHotKeys and Windows PowerToys. I can't
seem to make it work. In PowerToys, for instance, when I press Alt-Spacebar
to select the hotkeys to change, it just goes to CoPilot, and nothing
happens in PowerToys. I also don't see any options to select the System Menu
as the target.

Can I get the original behavior back? Please provide step-by-step details.

I have Win11, Home, 24H2 (OS Build 26 100.3915) Thank you in advance.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I understand that you want to
disable the hotkeys to disable Copilot from launching. You can disable the
Alt + Spacebar shortcut for launching Copilot by following these steps:

1.	Open Copilot.
2.	Click the profile button and choose the Settings option.
3.	Turn off the "Alt + Spacebar" toggle switch.
