Compañeros Federacionistas:

Les escribo para darles una breve actualización de la acción del Senado
relacionada con
el Acto de Seguridad de Vehículos de Motor, S. 3302, que contiene
disposiciones de
nuestro Acto de Mejora de la Seguridad Peatonal. Hasta ahora, el intento

Del Senado en aprobar esta legislación por consentimiento unánime ha sido
sin éxito debido a que dos senadores han puesto un alto al, o tienen una
objeción, con el proyecto de ley, lo que le impide avanzar en
este momento. Hemos aprendido que esta objeción no está relacionada con
nuestras provisiones.

El Comité Senatorial de Comercio, Ciencia y Transporte seguirá
trabajando para resolver este alto durante el fin de semana, y les
proporcionaré
una actualización y haré un llamado a la acción la próxima semana.

Deseo dar las gracias a todos ustedes por hacer llamadas a principios de
esta semana, a fín de  instar a
los senadores a apoyar el Acto de Seguridad de Vehículos de Motor.
