¡Alistémonos !



La Federación Nacional de Ciegos está haciendo planes para el debut de
nuestro prototipo de interfaz no visual que le permite a una persona ciega
conducir, y deseamos saber si planea estar allí. El
Sábado, 29 de enero del 2011, llevaremos a cabo la primera demostración
pública
del trabajo realizado bajo nuestra iniciativa del Desafío del Conductor
Ciego. En el
Daytona International Speedway, una persona ciega piloteará sin
asistencia vidente, en la pista, por delante de decenas de miles de
aficionados
antes del comienzo, en Daytona.

Estamos alentando a los miembros y amigos de la Federación Nacional de
Ciegos a asistir a esta exposición innovadora de nuestro Instituto

Jernigan de la Federación. Este fín de semana generará una gran
cantidad de tráfico en Daytona, y
las tarifas de las habitaciones serán más altas de lo que son en nuestros
acontecimientos tradicionales. Para
hacer posible que nuestros miembros asistan, estamos tratando de
negociar el mejor precio del hotel. Así que si está interesado en asistir,

Subject: Blind Driver Challenge - Upcoming at Daytona Event!


Let's Get Ready!

 The National Federation of the Blind is making plans for the debut of
 our prototype nonvisual interface that will empower a blind person to
 drive, and we want to know if you plan on being there.  On
 Saturday, January 29, 2011, we will hold the first public demonstration
 of work conducted under our Blind Driver Challenge initiative. At the
 Daytona International Speedway, a blind person will drive, without
 sighted assistance, on the track in front of tens of thousands of fans
 before the start at Daytona.

 We are encouraging the members and friends of the National Federation of
 the Blind to attend this ground-breaking exhibition of our NFB Jernigan
 Institute.  This weekend generates a lot of traffic in Daytona and
 room rates are higher than our traditional event rates.  In order to
 make it possible for our members to attend, we are attempting to
 negotiate the best hotel rate.  So if you are interested in attending,
 please tell us by sending an email to bdc at nfb.org, and let us know if
 you would plan to stay overnight on Friday or Saturday.
