¡Gracias a todos aquellos que siguen votando por Las Competencias de la Juventud de la Federación del 2011 en el Proyecto Pepsi Refresh! Sólo a través de la ayuda de todos, podrá la Federación ser capaz de traer $250.000 a fin de mejorar la educación de los estudiantes ciegos en la ciencia. Esta es una oportunidad de base para asegurar el financiamiento, ¿y qué organización está mejor equipada para sacar provecho de esa oportunidad? Tenemos un nuevo blog en, www.nfbyouthslam.blogspot.com en donde destacamos otros proyectos en los que están votando por nosotros, así como organizaciones que están difundiendo la palabra de nuestro esfuerzo. El blog también tiene un enlace a una papeleta de promoción que puede utilizar para repartir en varios eventos en su comunidad, o como simples recordatorios a sus amigos para que voten. Éstos son sólo, algunas maneras fáciles de usar las papeletas y correr la voz este mes:
  

Contacte a la iglesia a la que asiste.

  a..  Pregunte si pueden imprimir una noticia breve pequeña en el boletín, y/o, si le permiten dejar una pila de papeletas en el vestíbulo. Repártalas antes o después de la Escuela Dominical. 
  b..  Pídale a su Club de Leones locál, Rotary, etc. repartir papeletas, e ir trás de la causa. 
  c..  ¿Asistiéndo a una reunión de la Asociación de Padres  y de Maestros, PTA? Gran oportunidad para hacer uso de una audiencia cautiva para pasar, ya sea papeletas o, ¡para hacer que hagan texto! 

Y por supuesto, la forma más fácil es sólo pedirle a las pocas personas que conoce que voten con usted a fín  de apoyar el esfuerzo. Puede hacer un seguimiento con ellos cada semana para recordarles que continúen. Vea si puede pedirle a unas pocas nuevas personas cada semana. ¡Gracias a todos por su ardua labor! Una vez que haya exitosamente ingresado, haga click en el botón de votación en nuestra página nuevamente y el botón de votación desaparecerá, y ¡estará ingresado en su voto!

Simple Ways to Promote the NFB Youth Slam in the Pepsi Refresh Project
 
Thanks to all who continue to vote for the 2011 NFB Youth Slam in the Pepsi Refresh project! Only through everyone's help will the NFB be able to pull in $250,000 to improve the education of blind students in science. This is a grassroots opportunity to secure funding, and what organization is better equipped to capitalize on such an opportunity? We have a new blog out there at www.nfbyouthslam.blogspot.com where we are highlighting other projects who are voting for us, as well as organizations who are spreading the word about our effort. The blog also has a link to a promotional flyer you can use to pass out at various events in your community, or as simple reminders to your friends to vote. Here are just a few easy ways to use those flyers and get the word out this month:
  
  a.. Contact the church you attend. Ask if they will print a small blurb in the bulletin and/or allow you to leave a stack of flyers in the vestibule. Pass them out before or after Sunday School. 
  b.. Ask your local Lion's Club, Rotary, etc. to pass out flyers and get behind the cause. 
  c.. Attending a PTA meeting? Great opportunity to make use of a captive audience to either pass out flyers or have them text! 
 
And of course, the easiest way is to just ask a few people you know to vote along with you to support the effort. You can follow up with them each week to remind them to keep it up. See if you can ask a few new people each week. Thank you all for your hard work! Below are the three ways to vote, be sure to use as many ways are available to you each day!

  3.. Go to www.refresheverything.com/nfbyouthslam, click the link to vote, and then choose the sign in directly with Pepsi option. Once you're successfully logged in, click the vote button on our page again and the vote link will disappear and you'll have logged your vote!
