El siguiente mensaje es para los miembros de la Federación que asistirán a Rolex 24 En Daytona. Posteriores mensajes de correo electrónico incluirán información acerca de cómo escuchar y, o ver el evento, a través del Internet para aquellos que no pueden asistir.

Estimados Asistentes a Rolex 24 En Daytona:

En sólo unos pocos días, ustedes van a asistir a la presentación mundial de nuestro prototipo de interfaz no visual que hace posible que una persona ciega conduzca un coche de forma independiente. ¡Más de trescientos cincuenta miembros de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos se reunirán con decenas de miles de aficionados a las carreras, a fín de presenciar esta demostración histórica antes del inicio de Rolex 24 En Daytona! A continuación se presentan algunos detalles importantes para los asistentes de este evento trascendental.

Viernes, 28 de enero

HORARIO
. A las 7:30 pm, a los miembros de la Federación se les invita a asistir al Desafío del Conductor CiegoT. El inicio de la reunión multitudinal se llevará a cabo en el ballroom principal del Hotel Plaza Ocean Club. NOTA: La camisa polo de cuello alto, del Desafío del Conductor CiegoT, será distribuida en esta reunión multitudinal de inicio. Se le animará a usar estas camisas el sábado, 29 de enero, así que, por favor ¡asegúrese de recoger la suya!
Sábado, 29 de enero

HORARIO
. A las 8:15 de la mañana, los autobuses partirán hacia Daytona International Speedway. NOTA IMPORTANTE: Si va a montar uno de los autobuses para el Speedway, por favor tenga a la mano su boleto de entrada al Rolex 24 al subir al autobús. Estaremos verificando que todos han comprado un boleto antes de subir.
. A las 9:00 am, los miembros de la Federación llegarán a la sección de las tribunas de Daytona International Speedway de la Federación.
. A las 11:35, el vehículo  del Desafío del conductor CiegoT comenzará a recorrer la pista de carreras de Daytona International Speedway.
. A las 12:30 pm, la rueda de prensa oficial comenzará en el Salón de reunión del conductor, Driver's Meeting Room. A todos los miembros de la Federación se les anima a asistir.
. A las 3:30 pm, la 49ª Rolex 24 En Daytona comienza.
. Al comienzo de cada hora, entre las 2:00 y las 6:00 pm, los autobuses saldrán hacia los hoteles. El área de recogida del autobús estará afuera del Sprint FANZONE.
. A las 6:30 pm, a los miembros de la Federación se les invita a asistir a ¡la Celebración del Desafío del Conductor CiegoT! De la Federación. Pizza, ensalada, y postre, se servirán, y se abrirá para la venta de bebidas alcohólicas.

 OTRA INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE
. El CÓDIGO DE VESTIR PROPUESTO para el sábado, 29 de enero es el siguiente:
A todos los miembros de la Federación se les anima a usar la camisa polo de cuello alto oficial, del Desafío del Conductor Ciego T, que se entregará en la reunión multitudinal en la noche del viernes. La camisa polo de cuello alto, es de color morado con franjas blancas de carreras. Ya que a los miembros de la Federación se les recomienda encarecidamente asistir a la conferencia de prensa, y puede que sean entrevistados por miembros de la prensa, se les anima a vestir con ropa que refleje el profesionalismo y la integridad de la organización, así como la importación del evento.

En caso de que el clima esté demasiado frío, o no apto para la camisa oficial Polo de cuello alto, del Desafío del Conductor CiegoT, a los miembros de la Federación se les anima a usar ropa casual de negocios, pero adecuada al clima.

The following message is for NFB members attending the Rolex 24 At Daytona.  Subsequent e-mails will include information for those who cannot attend about how to listen and/or watch the event over the Internet.

Dear Rolex 24 At Daytona Attendees: 

In just a few short days you will be attending the world debut of our prototype nonvisual interface that will  make it possible for a blind person to drive a car independently.  Over three hundred and fifty members of the National Federation of the Blind will gather with tens of thousands of race fans to witness this historic demonstration before the start of the Rolex 24 At Daytona!  Below are some important details for attendees of this momentous event .

Friday, January 28

SCHEDULE 
  a.. At 7:30 p.m., NFB members are invited to attend the Blind Driver ChallengeT Kick-off Rally. It will be held in the main ballroom of the Plaza Ocean Club Hotel.  NOTE: The official Blind Driver ChallengeT polo shirts will be distributed at this kick-off rally.  You will be encouraged to wear these shirts on Saturday, January 29, so please be sure to pick yours up! 
Saturday, January 29

SCHEDULE 
  a.. At 8:15 a.m., buses will depart for Daytona International Speedway.  IMPORTANT NOTE: If you plan to ride one of the buses to the  />Speedway, please have your Rolex 24 admission ticket handy as you board the bus.  We will be checking to make sure everyone has purchased a ticket prior to boarding.    
  b.. At 9:00 a.m., NFB members will arrive at the NFB Grandstands section of the Daytona International Speedway. 
  c.. At 11:35 a.m., the Blind Driver ChallengeT vehicle will begin to traverse the Daytona International Speedway race track. 
  d.. At 12:30 p.m., the official Press Conference will begin in the Driver's Meeting Room.  All NFB members are encouraged to attend. 
  e.. At 3:30 p.m., the 49th Rolex 24 At Daytona begins. 
  f.. On the top of every hour between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., buses will depart for the hotels.  The bus pick-up area will be outside the Sprint FANZONE. 
  g.. At 6:30 p.m., NFB members are invited to attend the NFB Blind Driver ChallengeT Celebration! Pizza, salad, and dessert will be served and a cash bar will be open. 

 OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION 
  a.. The SUGGESTED DRESS CODE for Saturday, January 29, is as follows: 
  All NFB members are encouraged to wear the official Blind Driver ChallengeT polo shirt that will be handed out at the rally on Friday evening.  The polo shirt is purple with white racing stripes.  Since NFB members are strongly encouraged to attend the press conference and may be interviewed by members of the press, you are thus encouraged to dress in attire that will reflect the professionalism and the integrity of the organization as well as the import of the event. 

  In the event that the weather is too cold or otherwise unsuitable for the official Blind Driver ChallengeT polo shirt, NFB members are encouraged to wear business casual but weather-appropriate attire.
