Hola a todos,
el Centro de Investigación de Rehabilitación y Enseñanza, Rehabilitation
Research and Training Center (RRTC) en la ceguera
y la Baja Visión, en la Universidad de Mississippi State está investigando
un nuevo
programa de mentoría para estudiantes universitarios ciegos. Ellos me han
invitado, como
presidente de la Asociación Nacional de Estudiantes Ciegos, para ayudar al
desarrollo del programa, y en el reclutamiento de mentores y aprendices.
Considero que este programa brindará una oportunidad excelente para
estudiantes universitarios ciegos, a fín de experimentar una alta calidad de
mentores, y que
los resultados de las investigaciones que provienen de este proyecto se
puedan utilizar para
mejorar la rehabilitación de los ciegos. También me gustaría ver
a los Federacionistas involucrarse en esta investigación.
Si es un universitario ciego de tercer año o de cuarto año, o si es un
profesional ciego
interesado en ser mentor de un estudiante universitario ciego,
agradecería si pudiera leer las papeletas adjuntas y considerar llenar
la encuesta de elegibilidad. Después de llenar la encuesta, será
contactado por el equipo de investigación de la Universidad de Mississippi
State, MSU, con más detalles.
