             La Federación Nacional de Ciegos entiende lo importante que es para los docentes que trabajan en un campo de baja incidencia, como la ceguera, el encontrar oportunidades de colaboración y de red. En un esfuerzo para fomentar aprendizaje, interacción y comunidad, ¡la Federación es anfitriona del primer Seminario del Maestro Líder! Durante esta conferencia de tres días, los maestros tendrán la oportunidad de aprender, crecer y conocer a otros profesionales. Esta conferencia incluirá sesiones de aprendizaje, y de Marca y Toma, en la creación de redes con otros maestros y profesionales, y las mejores prácticas y debates de tecnología. Los maestros tendrán la oportunidad de influir en el contenido de las sesiones, y dirigir los debates. Los participantes son fuertemente alentados a aprovechar los medios de comunicación social, antes, durante y después de este seminario para permanecer en contacto unos con otros y con los maestros en el campo.
el Instituto Jernigan de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos está colaborando con la Organización Nacional de Profesionales en la Educación Sobre la ceguera, National Organization of Professionals in Blindness Education, a fín de llevar a cabo este Seminario del Maestro Líder, del 27 al 29 de enero del 2012 en Baltimore, Maryland. Esta conferencia está abierta a maestros de estudiantes ciegos, instructores de orientación y movilidad, maestros del salón de clase, estudiantes en programas de postgrado, y todos los profesionales en la ceguera y otros.   NFB Jernigan Institute Teacher Leader Seminar 
   

              The National Federation of the Blind understands how important it is for teachers working in a low incidence field, like blindness, to find opportunities to collaborate and network. In an effort to foster learning, interaction, and community, the NFB is hosting the first-ever Teacher Leader Seminar! During this three-day conference, teachers will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and meet other professionals.  This conference will include learning sessions and Make and Takes, networking with other teachers and professionals, and best practice and technology discussions.  Teachers will have the chance to influence the content of sessions and lead discussions.  Participants are strongly encouraged to take advantage of social media before, during, and after this seminar to stay in contact with each other and teachers in the field.
  The National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute is collaborating with the National Organization of Professionals in Blindness Education to hold this Teacher Leader Seminar on January 27-29, 2012 in Baltimore, MD. This conference is open to teachers of blind students, orientation and mobility instructors, classroom teachers, students in graduate programs and all other blindness professionals. Registration cost is $100 dollars and includes meals during the program. The first fifty teachers to register will be offered on-site accommodations.  Please register at www.nfb.org/tls.
