Nuevo Tablero de Anuncios

Hay un tablero nuevo de anuncios en la Sala de Conferencias Betsy Zaborowski, diseñado para educar a los visitantes sobre el esfuerzo de los salarios justos. Este despliegue está dividido en tres secciones. Las tres cuartas partes superiores constan de dos de las tres secciones: Problema (a la izquierda) y Solución (a la derecha). En el marco del Problema hay  cuatro artículos: La Ley Normativa  Laboral de Salarios justos, FLSA, Sección 14(c), $0.07, el salario en relación proporcional, y certificado de salario especial, todo en letras azules sobre un fondo blanco. En el marco Solución hay cuatro artículos: HR 3086, El Empleo Primero, El Empleo Competitivo Integrado, y la Alianza para la Plena Participación. El esquema de color de estas palabras es de letras blancas sobre un fondo azul. En un ángulo que abarca el borde entre las dos partes está el título del tablero "Salarios Justos". En la parte inferior del tablero hay ocho códigos de recorrido montados sobre un tablero de cartón pluma. Estos lo llevan, ya sea a un sitio Web con información sobre uno de los ocho temas, o a texto que describe el artículo. En la parte posterior de cada código de recorrido está un texto en forma impresa y en Braille que proporciona información sobre ese tema para las personas que no tienen un dispositivo para escanear el código de recorrido. Tenemos la intención de hacer que los visitantes puedan escanear los códigos de recorrido, aprender acerca de cada tema, y entonces, combinar el código de recorrido con el problema correspondiente, o con la solución correspondiente. El visitante puede mover cada código de recorrido y colocarlo al lado del problema o la solución seleccionada mediante velcro. En la tercera sección, en la cuarta parte inferior del tablero, proporciona una simulación de una tarea de trabajo en un taller cerrado. Los visitantes mueven un centenar de monedas de un centavo de la lata a la izquierda a la lata de la derecha en treinta segundos. Si no cumplen con esta norma, se les da cifras para calcular el salario en relación proporcional que se han ganado. Esta sección del tablero es de color rojo. New Bulletin Board

There is a new bulletin board in the Betsy Zaborowski Conference Room designed to educate visitors on the fair wages effort.  This display is divided into three sections. The top three-quarters consists of two of the three sections: Problem (on the left) and Solution (on the right). Under the Problem heading are four items: FLSA Section 14(c), $0.07, commensurate wage, and special wage certificate-all in blue letters on a white background. Under the Solution heading are four items: HR 3086, Employment First, competitive integrated employment, and the Alliance for Full Participation. The color scheme for these words is white letters on a blue background. At an angle and spanning the border between the two sides is the title of the board "Fair Wages." Across the bottom of the board are eight QR codes mounted on foam-core board. These lead either to a Web site with information about one of the eight topics or to text describing the item. On the back of each QR code is text in print and Braille that provides information about that item for people who do not have a device to scan the QR code. We intend for visitors to scan the QR codes, learn about each topic, and then match the QR code with the corresponding problem or solution.  The visitor can move each QR code and affix it next to the selected problem or solution using Velcro.  The third section, the bottom quarter of the board, provides a short simulation of a work task in a sheltered shop. Visitors move one hundred pennies from the can on the left to the can on the right in thirty seconds. If they do not meet this standard, they are given figures to calculate the commensurate wage they have earned. This section of the board is red. The border outlining the entire display features actual coins on a red background.
