Compañeros Federacionistas:

Les escribo para informarles sobre las últimas novedades acerca de la 
enmienda 1742 del senador
Portman a la resolución del Senado, sobre la resolución del transporte de 
superficie, surface transportation bill, S. 1813.

La enmienda del senador Portman permitiría a los estados entrar en
emprendimientos comerciales en las áreas de descanso en las carreteras 
federales y
interestatales, y dramáticamente impactaría la capacidad
de los proveedores del Randolph-Sheppard que actualmente operan en
esos lugares.

El Senado comenzó a debatir acerca de la S. 1813 ayer, pero clausuraron la 
sesión hasta
el próximo martes, 13 de marzo, antes de que la enmienda del Senador Portman 
pudiera ser
considerada.
Debemos utilizar este tiempo para trabajar para asegurar que tenemos los 
votos para
derrotar a la enmienda del Senador Portman el próximo martes.

Por favor, continúe llamando a sus senadores, y les instamos a votar en 
contra
