Estimados Compañeros Federacionistas,
 
Si son miembros de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos, y siempre han deseado ir a la convención nacional, pero no tenían dinero suficiente para hacerlo, pueden solicitar fondos suplementarios de la Convención, del Fondo de Becas Kenneth Jernigan. La beca promedio es de $400 o $500, por lo que, no va a pagar por todo, pero les ayudará a pagar por los tres artículos de precio elevado: un boleto de avión, una habitación para una semana en nuestras tarifas de convenciones (costo especialmente bajo si comparte la habitación con otros Federacionistas), y el costo de los alimentos durante una semana. Para solicitar, escriba una carta dirigida al comité o a mí, Allen Harris, pero envíela por correo electrónico a su propio presidente de la filial. Dear Fellow Federationists,
 
If you are a member of the National Federation of the Blind who has always wanted to go to national convention, but have not had enough money to manage it, you may apply for supplemental funds from the Kenneth Jernigan Convention Scholarship Fund. The average scholarship is $400 or $500 so it won't pay for everything, but it will help pay for the three big ticket items: a plane ticket, a room for a week at our convention rates (especially low cost if you share the room with other Federationists), and the cost of food for a week.  To apply, write a letter addressed to the committee or to me, Allen Harris, but send it by email to your own affiliate president. Your state president will add the president's letter and send both letters on to the committee.  Read the article I wrote to see what the committee wants to know and to understand how this works.
