Estimados Participantes a la Convención:
¡Sólo quedan diecinueve días para el inicio de la Convención Nacional 2013 de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos!

 * Gracias por preinscribírse previamente para la Convención Nacional 2013 de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos. Si se ha preinscrito, recibirá una bolsa de UPS para llevar sus materiales de la convención. Estas bolsas estarán disponibles al momento de recoger su paquete de preinscripción en el Grand Ballroom Prefunction Foyer, nivel 1.  La recogida de paquetes de preinscripción comienza a 9:00 am el martes, a 8:30 am el miércoles, y en otras ocasiones, que se enumeran a lo largo de la semana.

·        Este año el salón de exposiciones y la tienda de la Federación,  Independence Market, incluyendo la sección de literatura gratuita, se combinarán en un solo lugar—en el Convention Center, West Hall, Sección WA1, nivel 2.  Sabemos que encontrará tiempo en su apretada agenda para visitar a los expositores y hacer un poco de compras en la tienda de la Federación, Independence Market.

Horas de operación de la Sala de Exposiciones son:

Martes desde 9:00 am hasta 11:00 am. (A nivel patrocinio solamente) 
Martes desde 11:00 am hasta 5:00 pm. 
Miércoles Desde 8:30 am hasta 5:00 pm. 
Jueves desde el mediodía hasta 1:45 pm. y desde 7:00 pm hasta 9:00 pm. 
Viernes desde el mediodía hasta 1:45 pm. y desde 6:00 pm hasta 8:30 pm.

Esta es Una oportunidad para descriptores no profesionales videntes a fin de evaluar  la Descripción de  vídeo en YouDescribe—Smith-Kettlewell's Nueva herramienta de vídeo de SmithKettlewell, descripción basada en la web para YouTube. Los participantes ponen a prueba el sistema de navegación por el sitio  web, a fin de grabar  sus propias descripciones de vídeos  seleccionadas, e informan sobre su experiencia. Dear Convention Attendee:

Only nineteen days left before the start of the 2013 National Convention of the National Federation of the Blind!

 * Thank you for preregistering for the 2013 National Convention of the National Federation of the Blind. If you preregistered, you will receive a UPS bag for carrying your convention materials. These bags will be available when you pick up your preregistration packet in Grand Ballroom Prefunction Foyer, level 1.  Preregistration packet pickup begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday, at 8:30 am on Wednesday, and at other times as listed throughout the week.

* In case you haven't already seen it, the convention agenda is now available!  You can view it from the convention page on the NFB Web site at https://nfb.org/national-convention.

* This year the exhibit hall and the Independence Market, including the free literature section, will be combined in one location—the Convention Center, West Hall Section WA1, level 2.  We know you will find time in your busy schedule to visit the exhibitors and do a little shopping in the market.

Exhibit hall hours of operation are:

Tuesday 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. (Sponsors only) 
Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
Thursday Noon to 1:45 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. 
Friday Noon to 1:45 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

* There is still space still available in the Session I of the video description focus group on Monday, July 1, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  This is an opportunity for sighted amateur describers to evaluate YouDescribe—Smith-Kettlewell's new Web-based video-description tool for YouTube. Participants will test the system by recording their own descriptions for selected videos and report on their experience.
