La 74ª convención anual de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos se acerca rápidamente, por lo que, antes de que la programación de cada uno esté totalmente llena, deseo dirigirme a todos para pedirles ayuda.  El equipo de NFB-NEWSLINE® será el anfitrión de una sala de demostración y una mesa en la Sala de Exposiciones de este año. Para ambas
de estas actividades se requiere un número de voluntarios y agradeceríamos cualquier momento que puedas ofrecer para ayudar con nuestras actividades de la convención.
 
Recientemente, hemos lanzado nuevas funciones de servicio, y queremos dar a los asistentes de la convención la oportunidad de familiarizarse con estas adiciones para que
puedan sacar el máximo provecho de ellas. Para ayudarnos en este esfuerzo, además de nuestras dos mesas en la Sala de Exposiciones, el equipo de NFB-NEWSLINE® ha organizado una
sala de demostración que permitirá demostraciones prácticas de nuestras mejoras de servicio recientes, como las nuevas funciones de correo electrónico de periódicos, y la última
Actualización a nuestra aplicación Móvil de NFB-NEWSLINE® para el iPhone. También vamos a demostrar algunas de las funciones y servicios más pequeños y más nuevos añadidos al sistema, y las últimas publicaciones ahora disponibles a los ciegos como las nuevas Revistas Meredith.
 
Nuestra sala de demostración estará disponible para pasar por ahí durante cinco horas del miércoles 2 de julio, y el jueves 3 de julio para responder a preguntas acerca de NFB-NEWSLINE. Nuestras mesas en la Sala de Exposiciones tendrán que ser atendidas por un total de veintitrés horas a partir del miércoles , 2 de julio, hasta el sábado 5 de julio, por lo que, ¡necesitamos mucha ayuda!  Estamos buscando el apoyo de nuestros miembros que están familiarizados con el servicio de NFB-NEWSLINE®.  
 
Además , necesitamos voluntarios para el personal de cuatro estaciones de trabajo de nuestra sala para ayudar a los asistentes de la convención a aprender acerca de las iniciativas de servicios recientes.  A nuestros voluntarios
se les pedirá ayudar a los visitantes de muchas maneras, con el suministro de información, la entrega de la literatura, y ayudando a inscribir a nuevos clientes.  Proporcionaremos
a voluntarios interesados con información sobre estas nuevas iniciativas de servicio antes de la convención a través de conferencia telefónica durante la semana del 22 de junio, de manera que todo el mundo esté al día.

Greetings Fellow Federationists:
 
The 74th annual convention of the National Federation of the Blind is rapidly approaching, so before everyone's schedule is entirely packed, I wanted to write to you to ask for your assistance.  The NFB-NEWSLINE® team will be hosting a demonstration room and a table in the Exhibit Hall this year.  Both of these activities will require a number of volunteers and we would greatly appreciate any time that you could offer to help with our convention activities.  
 
We have recently launched new service features, and we want to give convention attendees an opportunity to become familiar with these additions so that they can make the most of them.  To aid us in this effort, in addition to our two tables in the Exhibit Hall, the NFB-NEWSLINE® team has arranged for a demonstration room that will allow for hands-on demonstrations of our recent service enhancements, such as the new newspaper email features, and the latest update to our NFB-NEWSLINE® Mobile application for the iPhone. We will also demonstrate some of the newest smaller features and services added to the system and the latest publications now available to the blind such as the new Meredith Magazines.
 
Our demonstration room will be available for walk-in traffic for five hours on Wednesday, July 2nd, and Thursday, July 3rd, to answer questions about NFB-NEWSLINE. Our tables in the Exhibit Hall will need to be staffed for a total of twenty-three hours starting on Wednesday, July second, through Saturday, July fifth, so we need plenty of help!  We are looking for support from our members who are familiar with the NFB-NEWSLINE® service.  
 
Additionally, we need volunteers to staff our room's four workstations to help convention attendees learn about recent service initiatives.  Our volunteers will be asked to assist visitors in many ways­by providing information, handing out literature, and helping sign up new subscribers.  We will provide interested volunteers with information on these new service initiatives before convention via conference call during the week of June 22 so that everyone is up to speed.
