Saludos Compañeros Federacionistas:

Este es un recordatorio amistoso para hacerles saber lo que deben "EmPACar" 
para la convención.  Pues bien, la respuesta es su chequera, tarjeta de 
crédito o débito.  Cualquiera
de estos instrumentos financieros les permite participar plenamente
en el Plan de Contribución Preautorizada, PAC Plan.  Sí, ha oído bien. 
Ahora estamos aceptando tarjetas de crédito o débito para entrar en el Plan 
de Contribución Preautorizada.  Si está actualmente usando su cuenta 
bancaria directamente,  puede cambiar a una tarjeta de crédito o débito.  Es 
totalmente su decisión.

Entonces, ¿cuál es el Plan de Contribución Preautorizada para aquellos que 
no lo saben? Es el
Plan de Contribución Preautorizada,  no un comité de acción política. 
Empezamos este plan
en el año 1974 bajo el nombre de Plan de Carga de retiro Bancario, que ha 
recaudado muchos millones de dólares para la Federación desde entonces.  De 
hecho, es el 40º cumpleaños del Plan de Contribución Preautorizada
¡y tenemos que celebrar en Orlando!

Entonces, ¿qué ha permitido todo este dinero hacer para la Federación? 
Bueno, financiamos nuestro programa de becas, el Programa BELL de 
Enriquecimiento de Braille para la Alfabetización y el Aprendizaje, los 
programas de defensa legal,
educativos, y mucho, mucho más.  Dinero dado al Plan de Contribución 
Preautorizada,
va a nuestro tesoro general y por lo tanto se puede utilizar en una variedad 
de maneras.

¿Cómo funciona el programa?  Bueno, obtenemos la información de su cuenta 
corriente, tarjeta de crédito o información de tarjeta de débito, y una 
donación mensual es realizada
a la Federación.  Se especifica la cantidad del donativo y cuando se le 
cobrará.  Debido a que tenemos algo de sobrecargo para utilizar este 
programa como
comisiones bancarias, etc, la donación mínima es de cinco dólares al mes y 
no hay límite superior.  Las filiales de la Federación, capítulos y 
divisiones también pueden dar
al Plan y muchos lo hacen.

Hemos estado muy bien en el Plan de Contribución Preautorizada pero aún no 
estoy satisfecho.  Actualmente, las donaciones mensuales al Plan de 
Contribución Preautorizada equivalen a aproximadamente $435.000.00 al año 
para la Federación.  Ojalá que
podamos impulsar este a por lo menos $460.000.00 para el final de la 
convención y
$500.000.00 para fin de año.

Tendremos las contiendas tradicionales en Orlando.  Para la filial que tenga 
el mayor número de personas que vienen de nuevo a la Mesa
del Plan de Contribución Preautorizada ya sea
a elevar su compromiso o iniciar un nuevo compromiso, esa
filial recibirá el Premio Chamarilero, PAC Rat.  Para La división de la 
Federación o el grupo que tiene el mayor nivel de actividad, esa entidad 
recibirá el venerable Premio de la Mula de Carga, PAC Mule.  Por último, 
para la filial que tiene el porcentaje más alto de ganancia en su compromiso 
con el Plan de Contribución Preautorizada,
recibirá el codiciado Premio hyderm.

Además, tenemos contiendas para retiros en efectivo también.  Si aumenta su 
compromiso en el Plan de Contribución Preautorizada, su nombre entra en el 
sorteo de un premio agradable en efectivo que será sorteado
en el Banquete.  Del mismo modo, si comienza un nuevo compromiso, su nombre 
entrará en un sorteo de dinero en efectivo que también se sorteará en el 
Banquete.  Voy a negociar con el Doctor Maurer en la convención sobre la 
cantidad en que estos sorteos deben ser basados dependiendo en lo bien  que 
estamos haciendo en el
Plan de Contribución Preautorizada.

Vamos a operar la mesa del Plan de Contribución Preautorizada, durante la 
primera mañana de la inscripción a la convención en el área de inscripción, 
el miércoles 2 de julio y durante todas las sesiones generales
de la convención. La mesa del Plan de Contribución Preautorizada estará 
abierta media hora antes de las sesiones de la mañana de la convención y 
poco antes de las sesiones generales de la tarde.  Vamos a cerrar la mesa 
durante el Informe Presidencial del Doctor Maurer y alrededor de 3:00pm, 
durante la última sesión de la tarde para que podamos ultimar cifras del 
Plan de Contribución Preautorizada y  derribar las mesas en la preparación 
para configurar el banquete.

Así que por favor  lleve su chequera, tarjeta de débito o tarjeta de crédito 
y acompáñenme en Orlando. Vamos a continuar la construcción de la Federación 
mediante el Plan de Contribución Preautorizada ¡y
vamos a pasar un buen rato haciéndolo!
