Damas y caballeros,
¡Mis pensamientos para este Día de Recordatorio!

En este Día de Recordatorio rendimos homenaje a los hombres y mujeres 
que dieron su vida en el servicio a nuestro país y que se dedicaronn a 
la noble causa de la libertad,
y ninguno de ellos murió en vano. Desde la América colonial hasta el 
Golfo Pérsico, desde lugares como el Argonne a Normandía, Inchon, y Da 
Nangthey, reñida
y sacrificada para que otros puedan vivir en paz, libres del miedo a la 
tiranía y la agresión. En este Día de los Caídos, nuestros corazones 
deben hincharse con agradecimiento
y orgullo al reflexionar sobre la herencia perdurable de nuestra nación 
de libertad. Recordemos también tres de nuestros propios miembros de la 
Asociación Nacional de Veteranos Ciegos, NABV, (James Worley, Clinton
Grimsley y Eugene Huggins). James, Condecorado como Sargento primero en 
el Ejército, y Veterano de Vietnam fue uno de los miembros fundadores 
que proporcionó nuestra semilla original
con dinero. Clinton Grimsley, miembro de la junta directiva que no sólo 
luchó en Vietnam, sino que luchó con el cáncer de garganta tan 
airosamente. Eugene Huggins nuestro primer vicepresidente
que falleció por complicaciones del Agente Naranja al que fue expuesto 
durante su servicio en Vietnam. Estos son sólo algunos de los miles de 
hombres y
mujeres valientes que han pagado el precio más alto por nuestra 
libertad, junto con sus familias que aún están experimentando su 
pérdida. ¡No los olvidemos nunca!

Sólo una nota rápida para solicitarles ayuda en avisarle a todos 
nuestros veteranos de todo el país para que sepan.

La Asociación Nacional de Veteranos Ciegos está teniendo una recepción 
de bienvenida y Reunión de Veteranos el

Viernes en la noche, 1 de julio, 2016, Recepción desde las cinco hasta 
las 7PM. y Reunión de la Asociación Nacional de Veteranos desde las 
siete hasta las diez pm. Los alimentos serán servidos con refrescos y 
hay un bar de dinero en efectivo. el
salón es Panzacola H-2.

Gracias por su ayuda en avisar, a fin de que TODOS nuestros veteranos 
sepan acerca de esta recepción de bienvenida.

Federation Leaders,

Just a quick note to ask for your help in letting all our Veterans from 
around the country know

The National Association of Blind Veterans is having a Veterans Welcome 
Reception and Meeting on

Friday Night July 1, 2016 from  5-7PM Reception and 7-10PM National 
Veterans Meeting. Food will be served with  light refreshments and a 
Cash Bar. The room is Panzacola H-2.

Thank you for your assistance  in letting ALL our VETERANS know about 
this Welcome Reception.
