Federación Nacional de Ciegos. Se adjunta información que consideramos 
que encontrará

útil a medida que planeas tu semana en Orlando.

Puedes recoger tu paquete de preinscripción en el Salón Sebastian 
Ballroom Pre-function área, Nivel 1, en la zona designada 
"Preregistration," comenzando a las 9:00 am.

Las solicitudes tardías serán consideradas, pero no podemos garantizar 
que podemos cumplir con ello debido a las limitaciones de tiempo y

esta función volverá a estar disponible en 2017. ¿Necesitas agarrar un 
bastón de repuesto antes de ir a tu próxima reunión? ¿Deseas comprar un 
punzón para después

o simplemente necesitas una baraja de naipes Braille para mantenerte 
ocupado en ese largo vuelo de regreso a casa? ¡No hay problema! Para 
reducir el tiempo de espera para todos nuestros clientes,

todas las transacciones en dinero en efectivo por tres artículos o menos 
serán dirigidas a una ventana de procesamiento de orden expreso y 
específico. Para aprovechar esta función para ahorrar tiempo,

Thank you for preregistering for the 2017 National Convention of the 
National Federation of the Blind. Enclosed is some information we think 
you will find useful as your plan your week in Orlando.

The convention agenda is now available. You can view it from the 
convention page on the NFB website at https://nfb.org/convention

You may pick up your *preregistration packet* in Sebastian Ballroom 
Pre-function area, Level 1, in the area designated "Preregistration,*" 
*beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 
July 12, and at other times as listed throughout the week.


    Requests for Accommodations Based on Disability

Due to the size and complexity of this convention, as well as the need 
to appropriately plan for additional human and other resources, requests 
for specific accommodations you require to participate fully and equally 
were due to us thirty days prior to the convention. If you have not 
submitted your request, please do so immediately by sending an email to 
jerniganinstitute at nfb.org <mailto:jerniganinstitute at nfb.org>. Late 
requests will be considered but we cannot guarantee that we can fulfill 
them due to time and resource constraints. Pre-registrants of the 
convention who require deaf or deaf-blind interpreters should review the 
convention agenda and provide us with a description of the type of 
accommodation and a list of convention sessions you will be attending.

Small receivers for the hearing impaired to receive direct transmissions 
from the public address system during the NFB Board of Directors 
meeting, general sessions, the banquet, and meetings of the deaf-blind 
division may be checked out prior to the listed meetings and kept until 
the close of the last session the user is attending. Use of receivers 
requires a refundable cash deposit of $40.

The Exhibit Hall and Independence Market

    Return of the Cash Express Lane

Last year’s inaugural run of the Three Items or Less Cash Express Lane 
in the Independence Market was a complete hit, so we are pleased to 
announce that this feature will again be available in 2017. Need to grab 
a replacement cane before you run off to your next meeting? Want to buy 
that tuck-away stylus or just need a deck of Braille playing cards to 
keep you occupied on that long flight home? No problem! To cut down on 
waiting time for all of our customers, all cash transactions for three 
items or less will be directed to a separate express order processing 
window. To take advantage of this time-saving feature, simply collect 
your product tags as usual and join the main checkout line. When you 
reach our line marshal, let them know that you are purchasing three 
items or less with cash and they will direct you to the proper window. 
Getting in and out of the Independence Market is easier than ever!


    Volunteers Still Needed!

Are you interested in helping to make the 2017 National Convention a 
huge success? You can help by volunteering in the Independence Market at 
national convention. We are currently looking for volunteers to serve as 
demonstrators on July 11 and 12.  We are in need of storekeepers and pay 
station representatives for all shifts from July 11 to July 14.
