Familia Federacionista:

con la Convención Nacional sobre nosotros, nuestra división nacional de 
estudiantes se prepara para una entusiasmante celebración ¡de el 50º 
aniversario de diamante!

Llamando a todos los asistentes a la Convención Nacional de 2017: todos 
sabemos cuánto podemos caminar cada día de reunión a reunión, corriendo 
para tomar un bocado rápido y luego apresurarte

a otro seminario. ¿No sería increíble recaudar dinero para los futuros 
líderes de la Federación, o mejor aún, los actuales líderes

esfuerzo de recaudación de fondos se llevará a cabo el miércoles 12 de 
julio, durante la Convención Nacional 2017

de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos.

Entonces, ¿qué es exactamente una caminata? Esta será, un esfuerzo 
coordinado en el que deberás crear tu propia plataforma de recaudación 
de fondos con amigos y parientes, o aquellos que

creen en nuestro movimiento, ¡ellos podrían ser totales extraños! con 
compromiso de alguna cantidad por milla. Estas promesas representan un 
valor monetario que tus partidarios

prometen donar basado en cuántas millas caminas a lo largo del día. La 
cantidad prometida se basa en lo que el partidario quiere dar. Todo lo

que hacer es usar algún tipo de vestimenta que te pones para estar en 
forma o una aplicación en el teléfono para grabar tu distancia entre 
7:00 AM. y 10:00 PM. el Miércoles doce. Es así de

sencillo. La grabación de tu distancia individual comenzará a las 7:00 
AM, o cuando te despiertes, y terminará en la conclusión de nuestro 
inaugural de ¡los juegos Olímpicos! de la Asociación Nacional de 
Estudiantes Ciegos, NABS.

Cuando el reloj marque las 10:00 PM, los participantes registrarán sus 
pasos con líderes de la Asociación Nacional de Estudiantes Ciegos, NABS. 
Los tres ganadores serán recompensados con fabulosos premios ¡y 
reconocimiento!

Federation Family:

With National Convention upon us, our national student division is 
gearing up for an exciting 50^th anniversary diamond celebration!

Calling all 2017 National Convention attendees: we all know how much we 
walk each day. Meeting to meeting, running to grab a quick bite to eat, 
and rushing to another seminar. Wouldn't it be awesome to raise some 
money for the future leaders of the NFB, or better yet the current 
leaders just by doing what we do each day?... WALK!

This year, we are proud to announce the inaugural 2017 NABS Walk-A-Thon. 
This fundraising effort will be held on Wednesday, July 12, during the 
2017 National Federation of the Blind National Convention.

So what exactly is a Walk-A-Thon? This will be a coordinated effort in 
which you create your own fundraising platform. Friends and family, or 
those who believe in our movement, they could be total strangers!, will 
''pledge'' some amount per mile. These pledges represent a monetary 
value that your supporters promise to donate based on how many miles you 
walk throughout the day. The amount pledged is based on what the 
supporter wants to give. All you will have to do is use some sort of 
fitness wearable or a fitness app on your phone to record your distance 
between 7am and 10pm Wednesday, the 12th. It is that simple. The 
recording of your individual distance will start at 7am, or whenever you 
wake up, and end at the conclusion of our inaugural NABS Olympics! Once 
the clock strikes 10pm, participants will record their steps with NABS 
leaders. The top three winners will be rewarded with fabulous prizes and 
recognition!
