Estimada Familia de la Federación:
Tengo una gran noticia legislativa. ¡Tres de nuestras prioridades
legislativas fueron presentadas esta semana! Esas son:
La Ley de Transformación al Empleo Integrado Competitivo,
Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act,
que en el Senado S. 533, presentada por los senadores Bob Casey y Steve Danes
La Ley de Transformación al Empleo Integrado Competitivo en la Cámara
H.R. 1263, Presentada por los Representantes Bobby Scott y Cathy
McMorris Rodgers
La Ley de Acceso Tecnológico No Visual de Dispositivos Médicos,
Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act,
que en la Cámara es H.R. 1328, Presentada por el Representante Jan
Schakowsky con 32 copatrocinadores originales.
Esperamos tener noticias sobre
la ley de Sitios Web y la Aplicación de Software Asequibles,
Websites and Software Applications Accessibility Act,
La Ley de Regreso al Trabajo de Estadounidenses Ciegos,
Blind Americans Return to Work Act,
y la Ley de Acceso Tecnológico Asequible,
Access Technology Affordability Act,

originales ya estamos bien encaminados para hacer avanzar este
proyecto de ley.
Por lo tanto, inste a su Representante a copatrocinar la Ley de
Transformación al Empleo Integrado Competitivo, H.R. 1263,
y la Ley de Acceso Tecnológico No Visual de Dispositivos Médicos, H.R.
1328. Además, inste a sus dos senadores a copatrocinar la Ley de
Transformación al Empleo Integrado Competitivo, S. 533.
Cuando llame o envíe un correo electrónico a su representante, podría
decir lo siguiente:
"Hola, me llamo [SU NOMBRE], y soy constituyente de [NOMBRE DEL
REPRESENTANTE]. Vivo en  [CIUDAD, ESTADO]. me gustaría instar [NOMBRE
DEL REPRESENTANTE] a copatrocinar
la Ley de Acceso Tecnológico No Visual de Dispositivos Médicos, (H.R.
1328). Esta legislación autoriza a la Administración de Alimentos y
Medicamentos, FDA por sus siglas en Inglés, a establecer un estándar
mínimo de acceso no visual para
Dispositivos médicos de Clase II y Clase III a fin de que las personas
ciegas puedan operarlos de forma segura e independiente.
También me gustaría instar [NOMBRE DEL REPRESENTANTE] a copatrocinar
la Ley de Transformación al Empleo Integrado Competitivo, H.R. 1263.
Esta legislación
eliminará gradualmente la Sección 14(c) de
la Ley de Normas Laborales Justas
Fair Labor Standards Act,
y eliminará el pago de salarios por debajo del mínimo a las personas con
discapacidades.
