[NFBF-Jacksonville] FW: Let's Celebrate Together this Saturday!

Greetings Greater Jacksonville Chapter:

I just wanted to update you all on a couple of things before our meeting.

First,  as a friendly reminder, our chapter meeting will take place tomorrow at 3:30 P.M at the Colonial Point Clubhouse. The address is 5201 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. This meeting is extremely important as we will be electing several officers and board positions. I previously sent out the agenda, so take a look at it for additional information about the positions.

We will not have a Zoom or virtual component to our meeting this month.  It is very important that every member come in person so that your vote can be cast.  This is also an opportunity for us to be together for a little bit of fellowship,  which brings me to my next topic. After our meeting concludes, we will have pizza and sodas for anyone wishing to stay for a little social time.  All are welcome. If you would like to donate to the purchase of the food, please feel free to do so. 

Finally, and very importantly,  the Center for Independent Living, and DBS have worked together this year to host a white cane walk. The walk will begin tomorrow around 9 A.M at the CIL 2709 Art Museum Drive and will conclude at DBS. Please see the email from Tyler Morris below. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome.

Saturday, October 19th

9:00 AM - Registration and Networking at CIL (2709 Art Museum Drive)

10:00 AM - Walk and Roll Begins

11:00 AM - Free Food & Fellowship at DBS (1809 Art Museum Drive)

The distance between DBS and CIL is half a mile. After the event, CIL will provide a free wheelchair accessible shuttle back to the start of the walk, for anyone requesting mobility support.

We would like to thank the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office for their assistance and each of our community partners who made this event possible.
