Greetings Federation Family and Friends:
It is time once again for our monthly chapter meeting. This month, we will have our elections. Our nominating committee has been working hard to take all nominations made by you, our members into consideration and come up with what I am sure will be a wonderful slate.
This month, our meeting is at a slightly different time.  We will meet Saturday, October 19 at 3:30 P.M at the Colonial Point Clubhouse. The address is 5201 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
This month there will be no virtual component to our meeting.  Since we will be electing officers, and there is no voting allowed virtually, we encourage all of you to come in person so that your vote can be cast. As previously mentioned, we will have a slate presented by our nominating committee, but we will also accept nominations for any of the available positions from the floor.  If you wish to nominate someone, please be sure that you have spoken with them, so they are not caught by surprise.
As always, I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.  The agenda for our meeting will follow my message.


The National Federation of the Blind of Florida, Greater Jacksonville Chapter will meet, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Colonial Point Condominiums, 5201 Atlantic Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32207,  in the Clubhouse.

The positions up for elections are as follows:
Vice President – Currently held by Denise Valkema
Treasurer – Currently held by Russ Davis
Second Board Position  - Currently held by Adriann Keve
Third Board Position – Previously held by Glen Baker

State Convention Update
The State Convention has been rescheduled for November 8, 9 and 10.
Registration is now open. Hotel reservations can also be made.
