Hello,, everyone!

 

We certainly can’t finish the month of February without taking care of some truly important legislative advocacy action. Specifically, we absolutely need to get back together and get everyone up to speed on what’s been happening since our last Affiliate gathering.

 

Of course, the annual Washington Seminar event occurred at the end of January, and oh my, with the huge Washington DC ice and snowstorm that pounded our nations capital, a great number of last minute changes occurred. We’ll fill you in on what happened and where we are headed from here.

 

We still have so many unfinished goals and we won’t be able to accomplish them without your help. Your 2026 Washington Seminar Delegation knew this as well and is prepared to keep working throughout the remainder of the 119th Congress, (that means we’ll keep at it until the end of the year…that was our promise to you). 

 

On Tuesday, we’ll bring you up to date on important legislative priorities both in Washington and in Tallahassee. I know Camille is eager to tell you all what’s happening within the Florida House and Senate, by the way, they’re in session until March 13th.

 

Please make time within your busy schedules to attend this truly important Legislative Advocacy and Concerns meeting. 

 

I’ve mentioned this in the past, but don’t mind saying again that Florida has an amazing group of individuals involved in the legislative process, let’s keep the work going and keep advocating for all blind people in our wonderful State.
