Well, fellow Federationists, we just had our Martin County Chapter Christmas party, the first of many, I hope. It was nice. Our secretary just took the bull by the horns and made calls to make sure everyone was bringing something. It was a pot luck with ham, turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, yams, raw vegies, and dessert and coffee and soda. We had a grab bag at the end and a split the pot raffle as we do at all our meetings. Our vice president brought out an instrument called an omniboard and played and sang carols we sang along to. It was nice too because we had a new potential member and someone who just joined last month, and we invited our reader, Sharon, and her two children, one of whom is blind. I'd say it went rather well. It was great, too, that considering what our transportation situation is like here, people who are sighted, even one who is not yet a member but whom we invited, pitched in and drove people.
