[Nfbf-l] downloading books from BARD

There are lots of files that make up a book. It looks confusing, but if you
copy them all to the folder it should work. I have a VR Stream and use
Humanware companion, which does all that stuff automatically, but I do
occasionally resort to the other method as well. Hope things work out.

Once I download the book from the BARD website into the folder I set up for
it, I hit extract all. Then it brings up a long list of that book number
with many different suffixes after the number. Someone said to hit extract,
but I don't find that, only extract all. When all those choices come up, I
don't know which one is the right one to copy to my flash drive.

As I said, I was able to do it, but I am not exactly sure how I did because
I had to try so many different things, and had basically given up, but when
I put the cartridge in the player, the book was on it. That's great, but as
I said, I would like to know the steps to take so it isn't just a hit or
miss thing.

Any advice would be helpful.  I really am a novice at computer technology;
However I'm very willing to learn.

Kathy, copy the folder or directory in which the
files reside to the cartridge or drive that holds
your books for your player. That should do it.
