First of all what happen happened and it should not have been handeled the
way it was. I had made the previous phone calls and I had all they asked
and more. The issue was that if NfBF would work at getting the State of
florida to notify the ID Card holders as they do the Drivers License folks
in advance that their expiration date is approaching it would have been a
piece of cake. As a Blind person that has no sighted people in the home I
had no idea it ran out until an Attorney friend that was doing some work for
us told me however, his office gives a 30 day grace period so our work was
completed. After you are over 65 plus there is at this time no expiration
date so Tom, didn't experience this and thus I was unaware to look at the
date since it lasts such a long time. Because of sercurity reasons I no
longer carry my SS card with me. In our move from one house to another and
the surgeries I went through I had mis placed my card. So when I went to
replace the SS card to then go for the ID card all this yuck happened.
After all that I found my missing SS Card right where I'd put it in a very
safe place LOL. It is very sad that the two Agencies do not work together
because both had multiple records to prove I was who I said I was. There
are evil people working in some of these jobs and arrest papers did prove
that fact on National news. As for me I have all my documents up to date
and safely together and marked so this will never happen to me again. Even
check your birth certific and be sure if you were a twin or more it is
marked correctly with your full name as to be certain if your parents are
gone that there is not an admended birth certific because I had one and
didn't know it when I went through my folks lock box papers once they had
passed unto glory.
