Sherri, I received a response from the FRCB deafblind board member who has
been on vaction. She said that the FRCB meeting was last week. She is not
a member of the NFB. It is very important that if there is someone on this
board who is a member of NFB to share this meeting information so that the
consumers who are blind and deaf blind can go to that meeting.
The post I sent was on behalf of the Florida Coordinating Council for the
Deaf and Hard of Hearing as I am on that board. I am serious about my role
ont his board and do all I can to advertise so that those who are Deaf, Hard
of Hearing and DeafBlind know that they can attend this meeting -- it is a
public meeting and public comment is usually on Thursday beginning 4 p.m.
-- all of us on the board are very interested in hearing the comments.
I make it a point to send these announcements several times, as I know many
are busy and need to be reminded. So, as for Florida Rehabilitation Council
for the Blind -- their meeting, be sure to check with them on this meeting;
as my source indicated that the meetingw as last week.
Have a good day!
(smile)
Darlene
