[Nfbf-l] Severe Weather Alerts Available onWFTV through Audio Description

If you live in central Florida, and you are watching channel 9 hurricane coverage, you can get the alerts that are on the screen. If you were able to do so, turn on audio description on your TV system. I know it is possible on dish and DirecTV, but I'm not sure about other TV systems. For the first time ever, I'm able to actually read the alerts that appear on the screen. Though the alerts repeat over and over, I just turn on another TV to hear the announcers.
I thought I'd pass this along to folks in Central Florida, so they can get access to the information that the announcers may not read to them. I called the station to try to get them to put this out over the air, but I doubt they will. Tell every blind person you know that is affected about this information.
