[NFBF-L] FW: [NFBofSC] Jeannie Massay dies

Another great leader of the NFB.  When we did our NFB 411 calls, she participated in at least one of them and had valuable information to share.  We have lost two strong leaders lately.  My condolences to Jeannie’s friends and family.  She will never be forgotten.

This is truly sad news. When the national conventions were in Orlando, I tried to attend the membership meetings that Jeannie Massay chaired. Joe Ruffalo was also there assisting in his membership recruiting expertise. Each convention I listened to since, Jeannie was always mentioned along with the struggle of her health. My condolences and prayers to family and friends in and outside the federation. Such a great loss.

I am deeply grieved to tell you of the death in her sleep last night of
Jeannie Massay. Jeannie was the treasurer of the NFB. She has fought a
gallant battle with diabetes. She told her brother last evening that she was
ready for hospice, and then with her signature efficiency and determination,
she quietly slipped away before she could trouble anyone. Jeannie was a
deeply committed Federationist. We knew this was coming, but I find myself
tearing up and feeling empty.
