[NFBF-L] Too soon, but in a better place

My heart is broken in the loss of Gloria. She and Dan have been good friends to me for many years. Gloria loved her work in the Federation, and quietly helped so many people who are in our Florida Affiliate family. She loved Dan and the whole family.

I did not expect this sad news. Thank you Gloria for your many years of service to the Disability community. You were a good role model for many people living with blindness. You were an outstanding Convention Planner for the NFBF. Gloria was a devoted Mother to her daughter Kathy who is waiting for her now in heaven.

Gloria was so thrilled that she was the State Affiliate Treasurer for many years, and humbly told others about how she worked for the IRS, and then started a business of her own, helping people with their taxes. I am thankful that I knew her as my friend. Gloria and I often attended the Transportation Disadvantaged Conferences together. Gloria will certainly be missed by her family, friends, and colleagues. My thoughts and prayers go out in love to Dan,Katie, and Robin. I also send condolences to the rest of the family, and the Tampa Bay Chapter.

If you are like me, you are feeling a devastating sense of loss combined with an overwhelming gratitude for what this woman did for the blind of Florida.
