I agree whole-heartedly, but don’t know if I am ready to move up to snowy Northern Maine or anywhere in Maine for that matter.  What is happening in Florida is scary!

Very well said, your life does depend on it.  I don’t care if you have to hitch a ride to the polling place, register and vote.  In fact, as a New Englander, I would recommend that you members of the Florida affiliate consider moving up here.  I am absolutely serious, and I must sound very partisan, but you may be prisoners in your state if the legislature and Desatan, and I think that name is very well put, keep pushing the way they are.  Sorry to sound so extreme, but your state is in serious trouble.

Thank you all for responding to the article. These bills are going to hurt the disability community as well as the African American people. I agree with your well written post Marion. 

We all have work to do in this state, to stop the current movement by the Florida Legislature to divide us and take the precious freedoms away that so many people fought and died for during the Civil Rights movement, and in subtle ways, the weakening of the ADA. 

Do not take your right to vote and make a difference for granted. Register and vote in every election from now own. Vote as if your life depends upon it, because it does. Again, thank you all for this discussion.
